What Are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extension is an advanced technique that lengthens and thickens eyelashes. They are single strands of lashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. Luscious Lashes uses top quality products manufactured from Misencil. Misencil is a Canadian based company with some of the highest standards in our country.

How will they look and feel?
When applied by our skilled technicians they will look completely natural, only much longer and fuller. They will feel like your own eyelashes. We do not count lashes, we will add as many or as few as needed to create the right look for you. Depending on the look you want, different material of lashes and lengths can be used and/or mixed together. Lash shaping and eye contouring also available.

How long will my initial appointment take?
We take an artisan approach with our customers and will not rush your appointment. You can expect your first appointment to take approximately 75-120 minutes. Unlike some salons we do not count eyelashes, eyelashes are applied to about 90% of the eye. Leaving the baby hairs behind, they will be full grown by your next fill and they will be used to apply your next fill. Thus, there will be a growth cycle that will be constantly replacing your lash hairs.

How long will my Eyelash Extensions Last?
When properly applied and cared for, your eyelash extensions will last for three to five weeks. Please see the aftercare section on how to properly care for your eyelash extensions to give you the longest life for you lashes.

What is a fill and how often should I get one?
After your initial set of eyelash extensions you will receive instructions on how to care for them. Fills are done every two to four weeks depending on care and how quickly your eyelashes grow. Lash fills is less time than full sets.

Can you fill my eyelashes done from another place?
Yes we can fill your lashes done from other lash tech as long as they were done properly. Free consultations can be done before you book your fill to make sure that the right lengths was used, the right weight, not glued and clumped together, and that you have 50 % left of your full set. If the tech decides that there is too much going on with the lashes it is a removal of $ 25 and a full set.

Why do I lose some of my eyelashes?
Due to the natural growth cycle of your lashes you will find your natural eyelashes shed every 60-90 days as new ones grows in. We recommend getting a fill every three to four weeks to fill in lashes on the new growth. When the lash is at the end of it’s cycle, it will shed with the extension attached to it and a new baby hair will replace it.

Will extensions damage my eyelashes?
Yes and no. Remember you are putting stuff on your eyes. As long as the job is done proper and you follow after care the damage will be minimal and possibly not even noticeable at all. Yes, your lashes can be damaged if you go to someone who was not properly trained and uses cheap products not intended for long wear. No, extensions properly applied by a certified, trained technician who uses quality products should not. Our eyelash extension application techniques and innovative aftercare ensures your lash health. As long as the job was done properly you shouldn’t have much damage to your lashes. Your lashes are constantly growing and will replace themselves. The last step in ensuring that there will be no damage is YOU taking care of your lashes. Avoid picking, pulling, rubbing your lashes. Do not stick any waterproof or oily products on your eyes. Also take caution when cooking. Do not get too close to fires or hot stoves/ovens.

A friend of mine is allergic to the products, is this common?
True allergic reactions do happen, but are rare. If you have developed an allergic reaction you may still wear extensions with some changes made to the aftercare process. What is more common is eye infection due to improperly washing and caring for your lashes. Waiting 24 hours to wash lashes and not washing your eyelashes the entire time you wear them are the most common causes of infections. A small dot of glue can be place behind the ear during a free consultation. If no swelling appears then you are not allergic to the glue.

Can I use eyelash growth products with my extensions?
Lash growth serum sold from Misencil is safe to use with your eyelash extensions.

Will I still need to use mascara?
No, you will not need to use mascara with your lash extensions, but for nights that you want extra drama you can use a water-based mascara. Eyelash Extension safe mascara available.
